Really good Alfama Experience
excellent service quality toiletries
The staff provided excellent service, especially at the bar during breakfast. The decor features a scandi style with pale wood. the rainfall shower worked powerfully, complemented by quality toiletries. I did find the bathrobes to be unusually small! fresh milk in the room would make coffee preparation much better. Otherwise, creamers are needed.

The hotel sits close to the castle. It is also near the heart of alfama. a fair amount of walking is needed to reach downtown. the area has several hills.

Rooms include everything one needs for a stay. They were not huge. Still, they offer adequate space. the neutral tones contribute to a calm atmosphere. the bed linen felt very soft!

The terrace tapas impressed me. I found them delicious and reasonably priced. the breakfast buffet has decent selection. hot dishes are available to order. It's a great offering.

The staff demonstrated helpfulness consistently. I received particularly good attention in the bar. the breakfast service was very punctual. any questions i had were always handled professionally.

broken safe clueless staff
I found a couple of things a bit off . the in-room safe didn't work, so i had to carry valuables with me. A real hassle. also, the advertised airport shuttle wasn't running when i needed it, and the staff seemed pretty clueless about alternatives. it reminded me of a miss, especially given the hotel's supposed attention to detail.

Really good Experience at Boutique Hotel
helpful staff quality meats cooked dishes local restaurants
The staff were helpful, recommending sights and local restaurants. Morning breakfast included very good quality meats and cheeses. Delicious cooked egg dishes were also available. The views from the pool and terrace area were amazing (you can even see cruise ships). The location is in a great, safe area with many local restaurants.
The room was small. There was no coffee machine. The kettle was available, but there was no space to place it in the room to make a drink.

a romantic alfama escape
warm welcome rooftop tapas lovely cocktail great location
The welcome was so warm. i felt at home right away. the staff is very nice and showed me the hotel. i loved the rooftop tapas and a lovely cocktail. Such a treat. the location is near the castle, so nice to explore.
i wish there was more wardrobe space in the room. it was little annoying

the hotel is in the historical part of the city, and it offers amazing views. close streets make you lost, with vistas to see. taxis drop you on the road. the hotel is near the bottom.

staff gives great service, especially in the bar, restaurant, and during breakfast. they are knowledgable and take time to welcome you. they give recommendations for authentic, non tourist restaurants. the staff shows you around the hotel.

terrace views afternoon drinks
the breakfast offered many choices to order from. the terrace views were beautiful for afternoon drinks. they helped me with transport to the cruise terminal the next day. i appreciate their help.
the yellow rugs in the room looked dirty and not very nice.
